Dundee 15 May 1827
At a Meeting of the Trade held in the hall
this Evening the Trade resolved to proceed against
Mr Downie & his Wife – and against Robert Dorr
for infringement of the Privileges of the Trade
and they instructed the Clerk to proceed accord
ingly –
Mr John Young stated that he had been
applied to by James Wallace the new Tenant
of the House for a door between two of the
apartments – Which subject was postponed
till next Meeting –
Mr Young then stated that he had let
the back Seat in the Church for £1 –

Dundee 28th May 1827
The Trade having met for the purpose of paying
the Widows for the Current half year when the
following widows were apointed to be paid
the sum of thirty five shillings ^each^ Viz Widows
Wilson, Robertson, Strachan, Smith, J Macdonald,
A. Macdonald, Watson, Leighton, Langlands &
Lamb – the Boxmaster was also ordered to pay
to Margaret Black (in the Lunatic Asylum) the
sum of ten shillings – & to Mrs Watson in Montrose
fifteen shillings – & to Stewart Duncan the trades
officer ten shillings – the Boxmaster was ordered
to get a door made for Wallace’s House referred
to in the last minute
