Returned along with Mr Matthewson and after some
Explanation Mr Matthewson agreed to do the Duty
of Boxmaster in the Regular way During the remainder
of the time of his service in Consequence of which agreement
the Business relative to him in the two former Minutes
is Declared Null
It was agreed to Send the remainder of Mrs Leightons Last
half Years Annuity (which sum is 20/) to Aberdeen
without delay

Dundee 28 July 1823
A meeting of the Trade was held this Evening
for the purpose of considering the Case of Robert
Dow who was reported to have commenced busi-
ness without having the freedom of the Trade
and the Clerk having stated that he had not
yet fully considered the extent of the privilege
competent to Militia-men who have not been out
of the County, an adjourned meeting was called
for Wednesday the 30 Current, at 8 OClock
Evening for the purpose of hearing the Opinion
upon that point.
It was again resolved that the Trades
accounts shall be read over every Quarter day, ac-
cording to a former Sederunt.
