Dundee 30 July 1823
A Meeting of the Trade was held this Evening
when some Law Authorities were laid before them
regarding the Question in the preceding Minute
after discussing which the Trade unanimous
ly remitted to the Council to take the same
into Consideration and consult further with
the Agent, and if it shall appear to them
that Robert Dow is not entitled to the privi
lege of the Trade they are authorised to
call upon him to shew the authority he
has for working and report his Answer to
the next Meeting

Dundee 11 August 1823
At a Meeting of the Council of the Trade was
held this evening when the Deacon laid before them
that he had received orders from M Kinnear to get the
Chimney tops repaired by Mr W Thomson in a Sub-
stantial manner according to the Specification of the
work which he gave in. The meeting agreed to have
them batted in the top with Iron and to point the
Cloth where the damp comes through to M Watson
with Roman Cement
