Dundee 18th August 1824
At a meeting of the Standing Committee of the
Tailor Trade, agreeable to the Trades meeting of
yesterday They agreed with Alexr Bruce to alter
the Deacons Chair, & to Make a board & frame
for containing the Trades Arms, They also agreed
with George Thomson to Paint the Arms
of the Trade and also the Room to be painted
in Oil with all propable dispatch

At a meeting of Council held this day it was
found, after investigation that the present Chair in the
Taylors Hall appointed for the Deacon could not be
altered so as to be serviceable, and therefore they ordered
a new one to be made and placed for him
