Dundee 14th April 1817
The trade met for the purpose of deciding on the
which of the two motions recorded in last ^should be the deed of trade^ ~sederunt~ minute
Another Motion was proposed by Mr Lamb and seconded
that the seats in the ~South~ Church belonging to the
trade should not be let – It was carried by a Majo-
rity. that ~the~ three front seats lately covered shall
be let ^entry Whitsunday first^ – that 150 hand bills
shall be immediately printed, and pasted up –
and they shall be let by public roup, on Monday
the 21st instant – along with the seats in the South
Church belonging to the trade – for a period of three
years – Deacon Murray made application to be
put on the superannuated list – to which the trade
unanimously agreed –

The Tailors having met in their own Hall
It was resolved that ~this~ before the term day. say the
26th instant. the boxmaster should pay ~the following~
widows one pound 10/ each – viz Widows – Wilson –
Duncan – Robertson – Anderson – Reid – Fyfe –
Strachan – Smith – McDonald & Dick – ~And Widows~
Keiller and Smith 10/ each – James Dick Senr
and Alexr Ogilvy one pound each – It was also
resolved that Deacon Murrays application to be put on the
