The Trade being met to Consult on their Ordinary
affairs, the Quarter Accounts was Collected
it was agreed to Give the Following Sums
to the Undernamed Widows & Members Viz –
James Dick Senr & Alexr Ogilvy five Shillings
Each, Widows Anderson & Fyfe five Shillings
Each. Widow Smith 10/. Widows Strachan
McDonald, Wilson, Dick, Duncan, Robertson, &
Reid 3/ Each – it was Also agreed to Paint
Mr Wm Smalls Dining Room, it was agreed
that the Boxmaster Should pay to the Fund
of the Orphan Institution One Guinea for
this Year Only, Ordered Also to Alter the
Passage into the fourth Seat of the old Church –
it was Reported to the Meeting that David Watsons
Apprentice John Rough, which was Some time
a Go Entered on the Books as A free Apprentice
had Disputed with his Master & had Left the Service
of the Same, the Trade Resolved that he John Rough
Shall have No Benefit from his Entry Except
it can Be Proved that the Boy has Acted honestly
and Serves his Time full Out Either to his Master
or to Another with the Consent of the Same
