Dundee 14th March 1821

At a meeting of the Trade held this evening
a Letter from Mr James Imrie Writer in Edinr.
agent for the Bakers Shoemakers Tailors Bonnetmakers
Hammermen & Weavers in the late Summary Action at the
instance of the other three Trades against ^Esqr Mr Saunders^ them, in which
letter it was stated that the defenders had been found
liable to the other parties in Eighty five pounds of
Expences, and soliciting a remittance for the amount.
Which letter the Taylor Trade having considered and as
the Bonnet Makers refuse to pay any part in the
meantime; the Trade agreed to advance in the meantime
Seventeen pounds as a fifth share of the £85, reserving their
claim agt the Bonnetmakers for their share. – The
Boxmaster stated however that he only £10 in hand,
and the Deacon then proposed to advance the Trade
other £10 in loan, and advanced the same by a
Draft on the Bank for that sum accordingly – And
the Boxmaster was instructed to remit pay the
agent for the above six Trades, Mr James Saunders
the above Seventeen pounds to be remitted to Mr
Imrie for the purpose above mentioned.
