Old Church to see that the seats are regularly filled by
the members and shall sit at the head of his trade
or if inconvenient shall always appoint a substitute
in his place – and that Mrs Duncan shall always
attend – It was also resolved that this minute be ent-
red in the Sederunt Book and signd by the members –

Dundee 28th May 1816

At a meeting of the trade, it was resolved to give the
the following widows one pound ten shillings each viz.
Widows – Wilson – Duncan – Robertson – Anderson –
Reid – Fife – Strachan – Wm Smith – & McDonald – a
Dick – and Widows ~Keillor~ and G Smith ten shillings
each – the Boxmaster to pay them on the term day –
It was also resolved to give ten shillings for behoof of Christina
Young Daughter of the late John Young – in all £16.10.-
It was also resolved that as it was negl-
-ected to state the propriety of inquiring who had a
right to vote (in a motion made by George Scott to alter
and Cover the seats in the Old Church belonging
to the trade according to an estimate given in by
James Anderson) by having paid their Quarter
accts it was unanimously agreed to bring the
motion again before the trade at a meeting called
for that purpose – or the first meeting of the trade –
