Dundee 1st March 1820
At a meeting of the Incorporation held this day
the Deacon and Boxmaster laid before the
meeting a Specification of the improvements pro=
=posed to be made on ^front of the^ the Shop to be made on
the Shop to be occupied by Mr Watson, with an
an Elevation of the front of that shop with
these improvements, the said specification and
Elevation were approved of; And the
meeting requested the Clerk to send a copy
of each of the said Specification and Elevation
to each of James Anderson Wright in
Dundee, Alexander Bruce Wright there
and James Smith Wright there. and request
the Deacon and Boxmaster to take in
Estimates from them of the Expence of said
Improvements; And authorise the Council of
the Trade to contract with the person
whose Estimate is lowest, to perform the

At a meeting of the Council of the Tailor Trade Estimates
was Received from Messrs James Anderson James Smith
and Alexander Bruce, Wrights for to Execute the work
as Given in the Specification for the Trades Shop in the
Murraygate. The first was £39 – the Second £32.10/ – and
the Third £31.18/ – The Committee according to the powers Vested
in them by the Last Meeting of the Trade & Counl accept
Mr Alexr Bruces offer Being as afore Stated £31.18/ –
and Recommend to Mr Bruce to proceed with the Same with
