Dundee 25 February 1820

At a Meeting of the Incorporation the Deacon pro-
=duced a letter from Mr George Watt Renouncing his
lease and possession of the Shop and house occupied by
him in the murraygate, which was accepted of.
Immediately thereafter the Deacon produced a
missive from George Wilson Confectioner and Grocer
Murraygate offering Forty three pounds a year for
the same premises for five years after Whitsunday
next with the Security of John Gardyne Baker in
Murraygate and John Wilson Timber Merchant
Dundee on condition of certain repairs & improvements
being agreed to; which offer was also accepted of;
and the meeting requested the Boxmaster to procure
security accordingly. –
The Meeting thereafter took into con-
=sideration the Repairs and improvements that
might be necessary to be made on the Shop
to be occupied by Mr Wilson, and recommended
that a Specification of the Repairs and
improvements on the front of the Shop should be
made out by Mr James Anderson Wright in
Dundee; And Reserved to themselves the power
of afterwards determining what further repairs
or improvements should be made on the premises;
and in the meantime Remit to the Deacon and
Boxmaster to examine the same, and report to
next meeting what these may be, and what
may be the probable amount. –
Five Shillings were unanimously voted
to Mrs Duncan on account of her distressed
situation. –
