till same term, she having been paid weekly
2/- since 10 Decemr. last. – They then directed
the Meeting to pay to Widow Smith Three pounds
under deduction of the sum due by her to the
Trade – and to each of the following Widows
Two pounds viz Robertson, Strachan, F. McDonald,
Watson, Langlands. – They also directed ten
shillings to be paid on account of Margaret
Black in the Lunatic Asylum and fifteen
shillings to be given to Mrs Watson in
Montrose if applied for. – They then di-
rected the Boxmaster to pay Stewart
Duncan the Officer Ten shillings. –

The Clerk stated that he had called the Meeting
for the purpose of their taking into Consideration
the nature of a Case which has been decided
before the Court of Session relative to the privi
leges of Soldiers, and which is reported
in the Dundee Advertiser of the 19th Current.
The Case referred to is one between the
Incorporation of Taylors in Glasgow & Mc
Kenna –
The Meeting having considered the Report
of that Case as stated in the News
Paper were unanimously of Opinion
