Dundee 24th Novr 1824
at a meeting held in the Hall this Evening for the
Purpose of Electing the Boxmaster & Council to the
Tailor Trade for the Ensuing Year the following members
were Duly Elected ~for the Ensuing Year~ viz –
Mr James Leathers for Boxmaster, Messrs
David Duncan James Brown, John Young
& Willm Young to serve as Councillors
it was also agreed that Widow Langlands should
be paid at this time along with the other
Widows One Pound, to assist in paying her
House Rents it was also agreed to make enquiry
at what Expence a neat Box to Hold Deacon Boxmaster
and Clerk can be Erected ^using^ for this Purpose the
Spare tables & forms for the Erection and if the
Deacon boxmaster & Council think it advisable
to order the Same to be done the meeting recommend
to Employ James Anderson to do the Work but
Leave the Council to act as they may see fitt
