Petition to the Right Honble His Majestys
Secretary of State for the ^Home^ ~London~ Department
praying for the appointment of a Sheriff
Substitute to reside in Dundee, upon
consideration of which the Meeting approved
thereof & unanimously appointed the Deacon
to subscribe the same. –
There was also laid before the Meeting the Dft of
a Petition (~& others~) to the House of Commons
praying for a Repeal of the acts regarding the
Salmon Fisheries – upon consideration of which
the meeting resolved that a Petition should be
