Dundee May the 6 1823
Which day the Trade being Specially meet
when the Deacon laid before them a Summons
Raised by the Majestrates and Town Councile
which he recived this day, to compear before
the Lords of Council, and Session, Comissioners
appointed for plantation of Kirks and valuation
of Teinds at Edinburgh, which was orderd to
lie on the Table until the opinion of the
other Trades should be knowen on the Subject
At same time the meeting resumed the making
offer of a new Lease to Mr George Watson,
and after a good deal of discussion, it was
moved and unanimously agreed to, that ^the^ Trade
do adjourn til tomorrow afternoon when the
mater shall again be resumed and finily settled

agreable to Adjournment the Trade met this
Evening, when the Deacon prodused the following
offer from Mr George Watson – dated this day
which is as follows –
To the Deacon & Members belonging to the
Tailor Trade, Dundee
Gentelemen,
I as a Tennant wish to
continue in this present Situation belonging to
yow and which is presently occoupied by
me although that I still have two
years
