Dundee 28th November 1822
At a meeting of the Tailor Trade held this Evening to
Consult on their ordinary affairs Mr William Mathewson
was duly reelected to the office of Boxmaster for the
ensuing Year, also the following named Gentlemen
was Elected to serve as Councellors for the ensuing Year
Viz – Deacon Dempster Robt M’Cosh James Kinson
and Willm Young – It was agreed to pay
the Widows Bolls as follows – Mrs M’Intosh Wilson
Duncan, Robertson, Reid, Strachan, M Smith
G. Smith, Dick, F M’Donald Ogilvy, A M’Donald
and Watson Two Pounds Each – also Cathrine Smith
5/ – and Agnes Anderson 5/ – in all £24.10 –
The Boxmaster was impowered by the Meeting to
Borrow the sum of Sixty Pounds at 4 percent
for the Purpose of Paying the Trades proportion
of the Process the Six Trades are engaged in
with the Three Trades, also to pay the Money
due to Deacon Watt, at this date no other
Business comming before the Meeting they ajourned
