Dundee 5th February 1821
At A meeting of the Tailor Trade Held this Evening called
by the Deacon to Take into consideration a Demand
made by Mr Saunders Writer, of Twenty Pounds Sterling
as the Tailor Trades proportion of the Expences incurred
in consequence of an aledged Breach of Interdict
It was agreed at the meeting to pay the sum proposed on the
Terms that it shall be repaid by the General Fund
When the process is settled
The Boxmaster Reported that the Funds of the Trade being
nearly exhausted he would require funds before he could
make payment of the above sum – the Deacon upon
application of the Trade, very kindly came forward
and advanced the money upon the Trades Letter as a
Voucher to him in Security the Following is a copy

Twenty Pounds Sterling from you of this Date For
^the Behoof of the Tailor Trade^
and the Trade is hereby bound to pay you the same
to your order when applyed For
