letting them, to proceed to the old Church and roup the
Seats there. 150 hand Bills to be printed & distributed
through the Town and posted up in various places. –
And the Meeting agreed to employ Mr James Thain
auctioneer in Dundee to Roup the said Seats. –

It was stated to the meeting by one of the
members that Alexr Bruce Wright in Dundee, who
had contracted for improving and Repairing the shop
in the Murraygate now let to George Watson, had
applied for a payment to account of the sum
contracted for, when it was agreed that the Boxmaster
should pay him Twenty pounds in the meantime.

The Tailor Trade being met on their ordinary affairs
Present, Deacon Malcom Robt Mcosh Willm Mathieson
David Watt and Willm Young – It was agreed to pay
the Following Widows One Pound Ten shillings Each
Widows Reid, Robertson, Duncan, Wilson Ogilvy
G Smith & W Smith, Dick, Strachan & Mcdonald
and one Pound to Mrs Leighton and to Mrs Mcdonald
five shillings & Margaret Black five shillings –
in all £16..10/ – It was also agreed to Give
Alexr Langlands Ten shillings at this Time and
in future to Pay one shilling per Week to Willm
Murray instead of Two shillings, which has been
Given for a considerable Time Back the Trade being
Obliged to Reduce his Allement in consequence of
the Reduced State of their funds –
