Dundee May 27 1819
Which day the Taylor Trade being met
to consult on their Ordinary business the
request of the Conveener was attended to namely
the collecting Money to support the Borough Reform
it was agreed that the Deacon should inform
the Conveener that the Taylor Trade would support
the cause a petition was presented from George
Smiths Dawghter praying for relief which
was rejected

Dundee 31st May 1819
The Taylor Trade being met to consult on their
affairs – the Deacon stated that Geo. Clark Tailor
from the Hawk hill had put out a sign in the
Town with an intention to work at his Business
on the Local Militia Freedom
The Trade Unanimously agree to take advice
of Mr Tho Adamson Writer concerning the Right
of Local Militiamen and if Necessary to take
advice of Mr John Henderson –
The Trade at same Time appoint the Deacon
and Mr Willm Mathieson & Willm Young as a
Committee to state the Case and Report to the
~Trade~ Corporation Thomas Malcom Don
