To Act along With The Deacon in The Committee
appointed by the Nine Trades to Draw up
By Laws For the Better Goverment of That

Dundee 13 Aprill 1819
Which day the Taylor Trade being mett
and being represented to them that the Deacon
and Mr William Young had waited on George Watt
in order that He might provide a Security in the
room of Andrew Small who had became Bankrupt
as he inform’d them that it would be two or three
weeks before he could bring forward another Cautioner
they came to the resolution to employ Mr Simson
immediatly to take such steps as will secure the
rent and that the Deacon and Mr Young shall see
the busines done accordingly

The Council of The Tailor Trade being Met The
Deacon Reported According to the Minute of
Yesterday he along with Mr Wm Young Waited
upon Mr Simson and Requested him to Write
George Watt the Trades Tenenant in the Murray
-gate Property – that if he failed to find Caution
