Dundee 23d March 1818
Which night the Trade being Met it was
Represented to the Meeting That Mrs Willm Smith
is Still verry Ill in her Health and having
a Large Family and no income what Ever Except
from her oldest boy which being seldom Employed
is not able to do much for the Relife for his
Mothers Family – The Trade agree this Evening
to Allow her Five shillings a week for six weeks
to come if she is no better in her Health
– And if she Gets no better at the Period Mentioned
the Trade to Take her case into Farther Consideration

this night Called by letter of Mssrs Wm Matthewson
Malcom & ^Robb^ Steel to Charge the Dikon with
a remiss of duty at a Councell meeting, the
underwriten resolution wase the Issue &
the Same wase ordered to be inserted in the
Dundee Perth & Coupar advertiser
That the Tailor trade is convinced that Dikon
young hase done his duty in a disenterested maner that
although he wase Called out in the way of his bussiness
at the Councell meeting Complained of that he by
no means forefited the Confidence of the Trade but on
the Conterary have acted all along with Cridot to the
Trade & to himself
