Dundee 19th June 1820
At a meeting of the Incorporation held within their
Hall this day.
appeared John Lowden son of Wm Lowden Manufacturer
in Dundee having produced an Indenture betwixt him
and David Watt Tailor in Dundee, whereby it appeared
that he was bound as an apprentice to Mr Watt for
the time of Six years; and the said John Lowden having
caused his entry money to be paid to the Boxmaster,
was admitted as a free apprentice to the said Trade
with all the privileges & immunities belonging to a free
apprentice to the said Trade, and his admission regularly
entered in the Books of Entries of the Incorporation
accordingly.

Called on purpose to take in Consideration
an offer Made by Mr Fenton of £5 pound
Sterling for his lifetime ^freedom^ which was unamiou
ly rejected Mr Fenton in the Mean time
having Lodged one pound Sterling for Calling
It was ^which is^ forfieted for behoof of the poor of
the trade an Estimate was produced from Mr
Watson for Lead Spout for your property in
the Murraygate at £7.3.4 another from Mr
Midelton at £7.5.3 Watsons being the Lowest
the Deacon & Boxmaster has desred to see It
done as Soon as Convenient Thomas Malcom Dea
