Committee Meeting of the Joint Committee
of the Tailor and Cordiner Incorporations held in
the Tailors room this first day of December 1819
Present Deacon Malcom Preses
Deacon Young Deacon Bowie Messrs Wm Matthewson
David Watt William Kirkland Thomas Key
Peter Dron & James Keith
Mr J Brown procurator in the
cause v Clark for encroachment on the priv-
ileges of the Tailor Trade read to the Meeting an
Interlocutor whereby the Magistrates have
found Clark liable in One pound Sterling
in name of damages & Subjecting the defendant
Clark in all the expences of action
The Members of the Committee of the
Cordiner Trade also reported that Joseph
Dempster had paid to their Incorporation
Five pounds for his having encroached on
their privileges as also Mr Browns expences
relative to the proceedings agt. him

The Tailor Trade being Met this Evening for the
Dispatch of Business. Mr Rt Moosh Accepted
the Office of Boxmaster for the ensuing Year and
Received the Ballance of Cash from Mr David ^Watt^ being
at this Date L 77. 7. 4 Sterling
In Consequence of an Interdict from the Glovers
the Fleshers & Dyers on the Convener or General
Fund Court on the Supposition of improper Laws
