within Dundee and have given up so accordingly
that Mr Peirce further said that it was pro-
bable if the matter was dropt Clark would pay
the expences of the Summons; that in the interim
Caption had been marked for the Summons
which would be forced in to morrow – and if
no defence were given in along with it a Decreet
might be expected next thursday in a matter
of Course

The Meeting were of opinion that the
action should be proceeded in and Mr Brown
directed to attend to the same accordingly

Dundee 15th September –
At a Meeting of the Tailor Trade Held this
Day For the purpose of Electing a Convener –
The Qualification being taken by the Corporation
Deacon Tho Low was put out as a Candidate
for the Office of Convener – a List being produced
Deacon Willm Lindsay was Unanimously Voted by
the Trade to Serve as Convener for the Ensuing
Year – and the Deacon Ordered to Vote Accordingly
and Left the Room for that purpose and on his Return
to the Trade – Informed the Meeting that Deacon Lindsay
Was Elected by the Trades the Votes being Six to
three Viz. The Bakers ShoeMakers Tailors
Hammermen Bonnet Makers & Weavers ~For~ ~Against~
