At a meeting of the Trade this day it was
unanimously resolved to postpone for the
present raising any action against George Clark
for infringing their priveleges – The Trade recommend
that applications should be made to the nine Trades
and Guildry to obtain legal advice respecting
the Claims of Local Militia men to exercise
Trades within the Burgh

At a Meeting of the Tailor Trade Held this day
The Committee appointed to enquire into the Right of
Local Militiamen Gave in their Report of all the
Information they have been ^able to^ ~formarly~ meet ^with^ on that
Business – The Shoemakers having appointed a Committee
to act along with the Committee of Tailors Both Committee
in the Name of their Trades in the Tailors Hall on the
9th July Last past the Following is a Minute of their
Proceedings Meeting of the Committee of the
Taylors and Shoemakers Incorporations Held in the
Tailors Room this 9th day of July 1819 relative to the
priveleges claimed under the Local Militia act
