as it is his opinion that the said Deacon
Murray is Not Justly Intitled to the Benefit
of the Trade, it being Clearly Understood that
Mr Murray Had property to a Considerable
Amount, And Our funds can only be
appropriated for the Benefit of the Poor
The Motion was seconded, and a Committee
was appointed to Examine Deacon Murray
Consisting of the following Members of the

his Burgess Ticket for Posterity

Tho Malcom Also Produced a Burgess

The Leets being Read Over for the Magistrates
The Trade Instructed the Deacon to Vote for
Bailie Hazel to the Provosts office
and orderd him to Protest against all the
Rest on the Leet Same time Thomas
Malcom was dully Elected Deacon for the
ensuing Year Mr Wm Young Deacon
