Dundee 6th January 1817
At a meeting of the Counsel of the trade
the Deacon Reported that he had Received from
the Town Counsel the sum of £1..5..10 1/2 which
after Deliberation the Counsel agreed to add from
the fund of the trade the sum of 10 1/2 to be
Divided at the Rate of three shillings Each to the
following Persons Viz. James Dick Senr Alex-
Ogilvy, Widows Reid, Anderson, Robertson
Watson, Dick, W. Smith, Strachan, Fife, McDonald
& Duncan, No other Business being Laid before
the Counsel they ajourned

Dundee 17th February 1817
At a meeting of the trade. Mr Ferrier was empowred
to let the second flat of of the house in the murraygate
for the ensuing year at ten pounds of rent. if he cannot
get ten pounds for 10/ – and to agree for the remaining
months ^of this half year^ at 30/ if he cannot procure 40/ or 35/ He
was also desired to give John Cochrane 10/ shillings
5/ at present and 5/ in a fortnight afterwards – and
Deacon Ogilvy – 10/ – The Deacon was also empowred
