Dundee 17th February 1823
The Trade being regularly met consulting about the
ordinary affairs of the Trade, and the ~last~ Minutes of
last meeting being read over, approved and signed,
it was moved by Mr David Watt and seconded by
Deacon Malcom that the entry money for a freemans
son, and for a freemans son in law, shall each
be only Five pounds sterling in place of the former
dues which for a freemans son was nine pounds
and for a freemans son in law Eleven pounds –
The meeting having again considered & canvassed the
motion postponed the final determination thereof
till next meeting, and it was ordered to lie on
the Table till then. –

thereof – the Motion of the Two foremer meetings was Laid before
The Trade viz. anent the Admission of Freemen ^Sons^ & freemens Sons
in law, ~to the Trade as members thereof~ after Due Deliberation
it was agreed that ^the Dues of Entry of^ Freemens Sons, & Sons in law, shall be
Five Pounds Sterling from this time forward –
a motion was also made & seconded that Free Apprentices
Admission to the Trade shall be fifteen Pounds, the Dues
to remain as they are at present ^and the term of their service to be^ ~but the motion to~ Ly on the
Table for the Two following Meetings and to be Settled
there after, a Motion was also made to do away with
the Quater accounts payed by the Members, as an amend-
ment it was moved that the Quater accounts remain ^to be collected as^ ~as~
they are, Till the present Litigation Now pending among
