Dundee Decr 30 1822

Which day the Trade being meet to consult
on their ordinary afairs it was moved and
unanimously agreed to, that the Deacon be
instructed to withhold his Signetuer from
the bond or Borrowing of money for paying
the debt contracted by the Town Councel ay
and until the Deacons of Trads ar alowed
a vot in ^the^ Patronige of St Davids church

Dundee 7 January 1823
At a meeting of the Trade held this day, The Deacon
called the attention of the meeting to the giving of Handsel
to the widows upon the funds of the Society, it was agreed
to allow the following to be paid at present – Two Shillings and
Six pence to each of Widows Smiths, Wilson, Reid, Dick,
Strachan, Ogilvie, Duncan, G. McDonald, A. McDonald
& Ogilvie Robb. And the Boxmaster was also instructed
to send Ten Shillings to Widow Watson Montrose
A Letter from Widow Leighton Aberdeen to the
Boxmaster was produced craving what she had to receive
from the Trade at this time should be sent her, when
it was agreed to send her Two pounds.
It was moved, seconded and carried that every
member although living without the Royalty of Dundee
if within the Suburbs, should be obliged to attend the
funeral of members or any of their families, otherwise they
should be bound to pay the usual fine for non attendance
