At a meeting of the council of the trade it was
resolved an estimate (according to articles approved by the
Committee) should be asked from Messrs Willm Reig – James
Anderson – David Gunn, and James Smiths for altering and
covering the seats of the old church &c according to
last minnute, the estimates to be got in in the course
of this week or at farthest by the 9th instant

At a meeting of the council called for the purpose of examining
into a complaint made by Thos Malcom against Wm Young
for expressing some doubts respecting the correctness of the
trades accts while under his charge The council appointed
James Reid (who had the goodness to accept of the appointment)
to meet with the Deacon Mr Young and Mr Malcom and
any other person Mr Malcom may appoint (provided he is a
member of the trade) on tuesday night the 9th instant in the
Hall ^at 7 oClock^ to examine the Books during the period of Mr
Malcoms Boxmastership – and give in their report to the
trade at the first meeting afterward that both Mr Young
