The Tailor Trade being Met for the Purpose
of Electing a Convener for the insuing Year
The Trade being Duly qualified Alexander
Langlands was Nominated to stand as Candidate
for the Office of Convener from the Tailor Trade
The Leets Being Presented the Deacon was instructed
to Vote for Mr James Chalmers of the Weavers
to fill the Office of Convener, the Deacon
accordingly Left the Room ~for~ to attend the
Election and upon his Return Declard Mr
James Chalmers to be Duly Elected for the insuing
Year

Dundee 27 September 1821
The Trade being met Mr William Young
moved that the present Deacon Mr David
Watt be re-elected to that office for the ensuing
year; which motion being seconded was carried
unanimously, and Mr Watt elected accordingly –
Mr ^Roberts^ ~Young~ also moved that the Trades
Hall be Offered to the Subscribers for three
years after Martinmas next at Sixty Pounds
Sterling, which motion was also second and carried
unanimously, and the Deacon was instructed to
communicate this Resolution to the Committee of
Deacons and convener, and to vote accordingly at their
meeting
