At a Meeting of the Trade held this Day
for the purpose of chusing a Deacon & voting
at the election of Magistrates for the ensuing
Year – Robert McCosh the present
Deacon was unanimously re-elected Deacon.
Thereafter the Deacon was requested by the
Trade to vote for David Brown Esq. as
provost. and for Mess. Thomas Bell James
Gray James Smith Murraygate & John
Symers for the Office of Baillies – and
for Patrick Anderson Esq. of Laws as Trea-
surer –

At a Meeting held this Evening Quarter
Accounts was Collected, at same time the following
named persons was appointed to Audit the
Boxmasters Accounts and report ^on Tuesday 31st Current^ Viz
Thomas Peter David Duncan James Brown
Wm Young & the Clerk of the Trade It was
Intimated at this Meeting that Wm Duncan (the
Officer) was Dead and the Boxmaster had paid the
~Usual~ allowance of 30/ towards paying his funeral
Expences, at same time it was Resolved to Retain
the Widows allowance which falls Due at Martin-
mass first in the Boxmasters hand for that purpose
