At a meeting of the Trade held this day for the
consideration of the motion ^at last meeting^ made by Mr David Miln
for an allowance of One pound to John Cochran
he stated that he did not mean the allowance to be
given as a right, but merely as a free donation for the
temporary relief of Cochran; the motion not having been
seconded was lost without a division.
An application having been made on behalf of Stewart
Duncan for a pair of shoes ^for herself^ and a plaiding Jacket for her
mother, the Boxmaster was authorised to pay for the same
out of the funds of the Trade.

the Windows of Geo Watsons house during the
repairs of the chimney tops; ~and~ that part
of the roof had been neglected by the Slaters
to be repaired; and that one of the doors of the
Garrets was down. – The meeting directed the
Deacon and Boxmaster to request Messrs
