The Tailor Trade being met to Consult on their
ordinary affairs – A Letter was Received by the Deacon
from Robert Laing Block Maker Pittenweem
Intimating that he was not able to pay the Trade
the 25 £ ^stg^ Due from him in consequence of an inform
=ality in the Disposition of property Dispond from
~him~ and Mr Beanstone about fifteen Years ago –
It being understood that the Said Robt Laing
and John Beanstone had Sunk £100 pounds
for the Behoof of their Mother in Law Mrs Stewart
the Trade order the Deacon and boxmaster along with
Messrs Willm Mathewson and Willm Young to wait on
Mr Tho Adamson to Advise with him the proper steps
to be Taken to Secure to the Trade the Sum paid out by
them in consequence of the Said informality –
An Account from Mr Simpson ^writer^ was Laid before the
Meeting – the Trade order the above Committee to advise
with Mr Adamson on the propriety of the Charge
of that Acct. at Same Time the Boxmaster is orderd
to pay to Mrs Leighton in Aberdeen One pound
for her present Relief – at Same Time it was agreed
to give Mrs Cochran Six Shillings in name of Shoes
