Dundee 30th November 1818
The Tailor Trade being met on their ordinary
affairs. the Deacon stated that at the meeting
of the Eighteen Court, for the Purpose of Dogeting
the Trades Intromissions for the Preceeding
Years. ~When~ The said Eighteen Court Refused
to Dogeat the Book as the Entrys of Messers M[?]
and Henderson was not Entered in the Cash book
The Eighteen Court at same time order the Deacon
to bring Forward the Locked book of the Trade that
they may Inspect it _ The Trade ~being~ having
Considered the Conduct of the said Eighteen Court
do order the Deacon to Give the Names of the
Entrants Without the Least Concealment but will
not agree to show their Locked Book Except that
they can point out any Intention to Defraud the
General Fund _ It was also the Unanimous
opinion of the Tailor Trade that no person shall
Sit ^& vote^ in the Eighteen Court Except the Present and
Preceeding Convener and the Present & Preceeding
Deacons of the Nine Trades and the Members of
the Eighteen Court Belonging to the Tailor Trade are
ordered to support the said opinion
