The Tailor Trade being met to Consult on their
affairs – a Letter was Presented from Mr James
Fenton Tailor Hilltown, offering Two Pounds as
a present to the Poor of the Trade, on condition that
the Trade Grant him a Years Indulgence from
this date, and incase of his Entering the Corporation
in the within Period ^or a month after its expiry^ ~and~
~that~ the Two Pounds and the Eight Pounds he form-
=erly paid Shall Go towards his Entrey – but if he
does not Enter in the Said time he can have
no Right to the Money but Gives it as a free
Gift – the Trade this Muting agreed to the Same
The Trade Sent a Deputation of Messrs Ferrier & Watt
to Mr Blinshall Small to know whither he intended
to take the Property Presently Possessed by him
Belonging to the Tailor Trade, for a Period of Five
Years from Martinmass first when his Present
Lease Expires, no Satisfactory answer being
given, the Trade farther agreed to wait the Same
till to Morrow at Two Oclock afternoon and no
Longer – and in case of no agreement with Mr Small
the Deacon and Boxmaster are impowered to Make
Offer of the Property Possessed by Mr Small to
Mr George Watt, For Five Years at the Sum
of Forty Pounds Yearly To Be Paid Half Yearly
