Dundee 9th Octr 1816
The trade met for the purpose of Leeting out two
gentlemen to be chosen as commissioners for the Harbour
act. when it was agreed unanimously that Mr George
Miln Bookseller, and Mr James Chalmers Bookseller
should be given as the as the two for the trade – and
that the trade should also give their support to the
reelection of Mr Willm Anderson – The Boxmaster
informed the trade that Mr Thos Young had paid
three pounds Sterling upon the conditions stated in
the minnet of the 17th Septr 1816 –

Dundee 11th Novr 1816
The trade met for purpose of collecting quarter accts
The Deacon read a letter from the Journeymen petitioning
that their wages should be raised to sixteen shillings per week
the same as they were before the late reduction – The trade
resolved that it would be very improper at the present
time to grant this request – and appointed the Deacon &
boxmaster to inform the Journeymen of the resolutions,
They also appointed James Reid – Robert McCosh –
Willm Mathewson and George Scott as a committee to meet
in the Hall on Monday evening the 25th instant to ex-
-amin the Boxmasters Books and on finding them correct
to doquet them – according to the appointment of the Minnet
of the 22d of Jully 1816
