Dundee 10th Dec 1827

Which Day the Trade met for the
purpose of dividing the proceeds of the
funds of Trade to the Widows &c –
When the following Widows were appointed
to be paid the under mentioned sums for
this term Viz

Widow Wilson £3 – – Watson £1 10
– Robertson 3 – – Wans 1 –
– Strachan 3 – – Black – 10
– Smith 3 – – Low 3 – –
– F McDonald 3 – – 6 – –
– A McDonald 3 – –
– Watson 3 – –
– Leighton 3 – –
– Langlands 3 – –
– Lamb 3 – –
£30 – –
6 – –
36 – –

A petition from Deacon Low was presented by
the Deacon stating his inability from age & Distress
to earn a livelihood – the Trade agreed to give him
for present assistance three pounds & to put him on
the superannuated List at 3/ per week – the Meeting also
agreed to reduce George Fairweathers pension 2 shillings per
month – the Trade also agreed to give ^the late^ David Wans orphans
£1 for present assistance – Mrs Watson was allowed 30 shillings
& Margt Black in the lunatic Asylum 10 shillings –
Mr James Reid then took the Chair & accepted the
office of Boxmaster for the ensuing year – A Vote
of thanks was moved by Mr David Duncan to the last
Boxmaster which was carried unanimously
