Dundee 13th Sepr 1826

At a meeting of the Tailor Trade held in their
hall this evening Deacon McCosh stated that
he had called the Trade together at the request
of Mr David Wann Shipmaster in Dundee
Son in law to Mr James Feathers master
Tailor ~there~ .-
Mr Wann having appeared before the
meeting the Deacon informed him that the
Trade had unanimously elected him a
Member of the Trade, upon his making
payment of the usual Fees, and making
a Sey piece, – to be approved of by the Trade.-
the latter of which was then done; – and
Mr Wann is accordingly hereby declared
duly elected .-
Mr Thomas Peter gave notice that
he intended to bring forthwith before the
Trade the nature of the admission of the
~Sons in Law or~ relatives of any Members of
the Trade – or of any others not being handi-
crafts, and that he proposed to move that
for the future such persons should be
subject in two third Parts of the Dues pay-
able by those who are unfreemen.- Mr
David Duncan stated his intention to second
the motion on that subject.-
